In Trench H we are still slowly removing plaster floors and have exposed the edges of a burial. This pit feature in Trench H is the last burial in the sequence of Building 12. Earlier in the week red paint was revealed on two different floors in the same general area. A sample has been taken for further analysis.
We have been working in three areas in Trench N, the entrance to the building, continuing the investigation into of the complex packing around the hearth and on the potential plaster feature emerging from the midden outside the building.
In Trench M we are continuing to remove small laminations in the western part of the midden though progress is hampered by animal intrusions. We are also investigating a midden on the eastern side of the trench which appears to have a different texture and evidence of coprolites. Within this midden we have discovered many small finds including fragments of figurines, numerous clay objects and groundstones.
We have made great progress in Trench P this week having revealed a plaster lined cut for one building and mudbricks for another. An abundance of groundstones, bone points and beads were also discovered during the week.
