Last week the Boncuklu Project was delighted to host the children and teachers of Hayıroglu School. In a two hour visit led by Gökhan Mustafaoglu and Mustafa Güven, more than 30 kids passed through the visitor centre, clambered through the replica houses, saw the team in action at the excavation and in the processing area and engaged in bead making, drawing, colouring in and making their own boncuks (beads/tablets).

Enthusiastically aided by a large group of Boncuklu diggers the kids had a ball and went away with their own copy of the Boncuklu booklet which you can download from our educational downloads page Further visits are planned throughout the coming year by the school principal and we will be developing further information for class use including powerpoint presentations and videos over the coming year.
